I just ordered DSL service for the home. our_meg, if you're in that building, please put in a good word for me. 8)

Even better, the company will pay for it. I just have to be a disaster recovery site. Fair trade.

'Course, now I should dump the dialup account and look into alternatives for web hosting and e-mail. Change is good - but sometimes annoying.

If you get DSL (and if someone else is paying for it!) you may want to check out voice-over-internet protocol. I'm getting tired of the damn mice chewing up the wires (I'm waiting for the nice Verizon guy right now to show up and fix the wires) so I think I'll be changing over to it. If you decide to go with Vonage, let me know -- they have a kickback sort of thing where if a friend refers you, you get a month free and the friend gets 2-3 months free. Quite neat.
