Work, work, work, work. Hello, boys! Have a good night's rest? I missed you.

Bonus points for identifying the quote, but not very many. It's not an obscure quote.

I'm working from home today - the usual monthly disaster recovery test. It's nice sleeping in an extra hour and not driving 35 miles long before the sun comes up. Even if I do have to dress in normal work clothes. Also, this way I get to test the laptop that I will be lugging to NY next week before I get there.

As usual, there are problems. This is why we call it a test.

What I'm reading: Robin Hobb, Shaman's Crossing

Quote is of Governor LePetomaine.

Why normal work clothes? Can you, at least, wear bunny slippers with them?

Gov. Lepetomaine from Blazing Saddles (played by Mel Brooks) ... (not too obscure a quote, but a funny one, none-the-less ...)

a book for you

A book just crossed my desk that I thought you might be interested in. Yes, I know you have too many cookbooks, now.

The Master Cake Baker by Cleve Carney. Published by the Calmut Baking Powder Co. in 1927. What it says about itself is "One or more recipes for practically everything in the line of pastry the modern baker is called upon to make, together with complete instructions, will be found in this volume."
100 pp. We want $59.95 for it.
