outdoor maintenance

My wife and I spent a few hours yesterday on the 45-degree hill in our back yard, weeding and planting. It was kind of, well, not fun, but satisfying. We're trying to introduce more CA native grasses (to keep the hill from eroding down into the garage) and wildflowers ('cause they look nice, and are low maintenance).

We're visiting another native specialty nursery this week for more grasses. The yard waste bin is already full...

That's a great idea! Not to mention with native grasses, you won't need to water much, or ever.

Which nursery are you heading to?

Yerba Buena Nursery (http://www.yerbabuenanursery.com/) on Skyline. It's a haul to get to, but a nice drive on a pretty day.

It is most certainly a lovely place.
I did some volunteer work there years ago.
