Home Improvement, part 2 of ... many, I'm afraid
Big step forward yesterday.
I spent all day in front of computer screens (as I often do) - when I got home, I actually wanted to go weed the hill. I also clipped some ivy and laid two pieces of slate as stepping stones. I just needed to get my hands dirty and accomplish something visible.
Since the wife only had one class yesterday, she also got a set of blinds installed. That involved some chipping away of paint (to allow the blinds to raise/lower smoothly) and still needs some finishing. But two down, three to go!
And the structural engineer dropped off plans and a permit for our "voluntary joist repair". Hopefully we can get on the contractor's schedule soon. It would be nice to be able to open the garage door!
