This is the modern world

I'm used to checking in to a flight via cell phone 24 hours ahead. Getting my boarding pass texted is new to me, though.

I'm getting used to the notion of phone-based boarding passes, but I absolutely know that some day I'll be relying on the system and have my phone go dead in the security line.

A couple months ago, I received a corporate tchotchke - a phone/tablet battery/recharger that now lives in my laptop bag, fully charged. If I'd known what they were I'd have grabbed a spare.

Yeah, I have a couple of those as well. I used to have a few more, but their connection configuration became obsolete. (The ones I have now all connect with separate USB cables.)
