Jan. 13th, 2021 10:10 amThe mattress and box spring are replaced with the new setup. The washer is installed and running laundry from this weekend. All much quicker (and quieter, since I'm in working in the study) than I was afraid it would be.
Two things of note: the bed is now significantly higher than it used to be. We will try it out, but we may end up replacing it with the thinner version. We'll see. The other is that Beatrice utterly panicked when the box spring was being carried out and wedged herself under and in back of the stove. We've pulled the stove out a bit so that it's easier for her to come out, but it's probably best to let her decide when she's ready.
