I should have just stayed in bed

The 4 AM alarm went off waaaay too early today. That's what happens when I get to bed around 11 PM. (The reason for that will be in a later post.)

Then, I had to wake up the wife - always a difficult thing to do before the sun comes up - so she could sign some forms that needed to be mailed off today. I couldn't find my coffee commuter mug, and when I used a substitute I spilled all over my briefcase.

So why did I haul my sorry butt into work today? Three reasons:

Student loans,
Cat food,
and cake delivery.

It looks really spiffy, too. I'm glad that I'm delivering it rather than having attempted to bake and sculpt it. (So is everyone else, with the possible exception of She Who Made It.)
