There's a strong possibility that I will be going to New York for a quick business trip in early October. I'd be doing this with our office uber-Yankees fan. The one who flies back every year for opening day at Yankee Stadium.

Of course, this will be the one year in recent memory that the Yanks aren't in the playoffs...

Karmically, I'd love for the Yanks to finish in the cellar. Their freakin' luxury tax is bigger than Tampa's entire payroll!

But I've never been to a game at Yankee Stadium. If I'm going to be in NY anyway, taking in a playoff game would be huge.

Well, I only speak elementary school-level Baseballian, so the Yankee angle is kinda lost on me, but being sent to NY on someone else's dime is excellent! I only hope you get some YOU time squeezed in amongst the work stuff...

I generally don't -- but if I go this time, I'm going to try to see the Cloisters. I haven't made it there yet.
