So... do they mean hooking up the pump to the teats all assembly-line-like (which I did a number of times in my early teens), or are they thinking of the stupid 'sit on a stool and SQUEEZE into a bucket'-thing?)
Stools, Squeezing and Buckets work for goats, however.
This part of #28 amuses me the most: Or was it the small matter of telling me I was unsuitably attired when sitting opposite me was a couple snogging so energetically I half expected a waiter to bring them a condom on a silver tray.
Yes, but presumably they were dressed appropriately on entering the restaurant...
Just out of curiousity, did you notice your sourdough got better on moving up to the city?
I've done about 14 for sure. 20 if you don't have to have done them in the exact places described (some of the experiences were generic enought o be uncertain about it). I could add a few of my own to that list.
However...
Of course the food is irrelevant, but who cares?
You will pay dearly for your tiny espresso, and may be even slightly disappointed, but you will still have taken part in one of Europe's oldest foodie pastimes.
I totally disagree with comments like these. Ambience is tres important, but if the food is irrelvant, it isn't a real foodie place, in my book. But then, I don't play well with the celebrities and folk that are in it primarily for the fame.
Actually, it's gotten worse. That's because with the commute, I haven't had as much time and energy to keep the starter (or, as I refer to it - "Its Schlorpitude") as healthy as I should.
