Idiosyncrasy.
1 a : a peculiarity of constitution or temperament : an individualizing characteristic or quality b : individual hypersensitiveness (as to a drug or food)
2 : characteristic peculiarity (as of temperament); broadly : ECCENTRICITY

List five of your own idiosyncrasies.
(Slightly expanded from my response)

1) The majority of my food dislikes are texture-related (even before I lost some of my sense of smell). I don't eat pears because it's like chewing on apples rolled in sand. I don't do okra because the choices range from slimy to extra-slimy.

2) I'm a fairly compulsive copy-editor. Typos completely ruin a sentence for me. I may be happily devouring a book, completely caught up in the author's world, and then boom! "The squirrel is known for it's fondness for nuts" throws me right out.

3) I'm light-sensitive. If it's light out, it's nearly impossible for me to sleep. Regardless of when I got to bed. This (along with the Congressional grandstanding and general pointlessness of it all) is why I loathe the idea of extended Daylight Savings starting next year.

4) I've been a compulsive reader since I learned how around the age of two. I find it very difficult to eat breakfast without reading - even if it's just the cereal box. When I spent a year in France as a high school exchange student, I re-read the four or five books I had what felt like several hundred times.

5) I've been a baker, on and off, for about 30 years.
