Elderberry Whine, part II

I made sourdough buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. See, it was so we could eat some of the elderberry syrup.

Of course, after I put the first pancake on Dawn's plate, she sat there with a knife, prodding at the solid mass of sludge in the jar.
Oops. Guess it set a bit more than I expected.

A hot water bath did the trick, and it was tasty. But a bit more work then I anticipated.
