Your steady pusher eventually learns your habit

I went to the library today to pick up a couple held books. I approached the desk, handed my card to the nice young lady who has helped me before, and said
"Hi, I'm-"
"here to pick up a hold, right."
"Uh, yeah."

In other news, I was prepared for today's office potluck.

So I was not surprised that my Fronch Apple Tart (more precisely, a Tarte Tatin, but the proper nasal snottiness doesn't convey itself via typing), which I had spent several hours yesterday to prepare - including arranging the apple slices artfully on the top in a spiral - was mostly bypassed in favor of the Albertson's Bakery pumpkin pie.

Did I mention that I sifted powdered sugar over it shortly before serving?

Philistines. Not the first time, nor probably is it the last.
