Didn't sleep very well last night - between the kitty grooming me repeatedly (you try sleeping when purring sandpaper is rasping your chin), kitty playing with a metal thimble on wood floors at 3 AM, and worst of all, a resurgence of my knee tendinitis.

goldenstag for the injury; not because it's really his fault, but because it coincided with our production of Flavio the Fake Magician a few years back.
The tendinitis normally isn't too bad, more sporadic in nature. But this last weekend it struck in earnest. Last night I was repeatedly awoken by the phantom amateur acupuncturist, stabbing needles into my knee in a vague attempt to figure out what's going on. (I'll tell you: Ow. Quit it!) There doesn't seem to be much that medicine can do, other than suggest I mega-dose on ibuprofen and hope that my liver doesn't keel over.
It occurred to me that this started the day before the big storms this last weekend. Dammit, I don't want a trick weather-predicting knee; that's one step closer to geezerdom, sitting on the porch in a rocker yelling "Dadgum kids, get off my lawn!"
