I don't want a toaster.
Furnulum pani nolo.
"I don't want a toaster."
Generally, things (like this quiz) tend to tick you
off. You have contemplated doing grievous
bodily harm to door-to-door salesmen.

Brutal day yesterday, more because it was looong than anything else.

Left the house at 5 AM, as usual. Took longer to drive to work due to the torrential downpour and gale-force winds.

Had to stay late for a marketing presentation. That's not in my normal job description, but I was there as part of the dog-and-pony show. It made for a ten-hour day in the office. Which mightn't have been so bad if I'd been driving home then, since the rain had cleared up – but as part of the whole marketing effort, I had to go to dinner with the group.

I know, poor me. Forced to eat on a corporate expense account. Waaah. True. The place was pretty good: Parcel 104 in Santa Clara, which I guess is reasonably upscale. Good food and wine, although I wouldn't rave about it.

Still, it was 9 PM when I bailed; and the rain had started up again, so I drove another 45 minutes in torrential downpour, gale-force winds, and lightning. If it hadn't been for the weather the drive home would have been fine, and I wouldn't be quite so exhausted today.

Oh well; it’s all part of slaving away to pay for the important things: my wife's school tuition, and kitty food.
