Oct. 18th, 2004 08:37 amThe wife and I are meeting
punkmom and family tonight for The Big Escrow Signing... then we buy them dinner. They grumbled humourously about the concept of showing up, handing us a large check (well, not large for CA real estate, but you know what I mean) and we buy them dinner.
I offered to do this exchange more than once, but they didn't bite. Oh well.
Their interest has meant that this process has gone much better than I was afraid it might. It helps when a group of adults can get together and make reasonable terms - no one is trying to squeeze out the absolute last dollar (and we want to stay friends). It also sounds like they've already done a ton of work on the place.
Looking forward to this tonight!
