(no subject)

Galen has learned a few new tricks (he's not an old dog, after all) involving drinking. He will occasionally drink from his IMac-style kitty fountain, but mostly he likes drinking in the bathroom.

Galen meerkats up on the tub, pawing at the curtain liner - because, apparently, the water that's higher up on the curtain tastes better. Then he licks his paws dry and starts again.

Or, he jumps into the sink and waits for the faucet to be put on a trickle. That way he can drink directly from the tap. It does make it difficult to brush my teeth when he's filling the sink...

Galen loves me. And he wanted me to know it - he slept on the bed (it was cold last night) and washed my face three times during the night. It's impossible to sleep when sandpaper is rubbing your face. After the alarm went off, he walked up my chest, settled down, and groomed me while purring heavily. I didn't want to get up in the first place, and that made it just that much more difficult.

Sigh.
