What I say before I get up:

"Galen, I have to get up now. If I don't go to work, you don't get any food."

What Galen hears:

"Galen, I need to be groomed now. If I don't go to work, you get petted."

This is why it's hard for me to get out the door on time. (Well, that and it being 4 AM.)
