Author, a reprise
Jun. 12th, 2005 10:02 amI forgot to mention the stereotypical "fan writer injecting her own biases into the author's work" moment at the signing. There's almost always at least one.
Fan: "I write fiction about transgendered people. When did Donna realize she was trans-gendered and needed to express zirself as a man?" [Yes, she used that "pronoun".]
LMB: "..."
LMB: "It's not really that Donna/Dono was a man in a woman's body. Donna did it for different reasons."
ME (thinking): As you'd know if you'd actually read the story, dumbass!"
Not to imply hatred towards transgenders, blah blah blah.
