klwilliams mentioned, I held my nose and donated to the (in my mind) lesser of two objectionable groups so that the most corporate matching money would (hopefully) go to people who need help.
Today, one of my business contacts sent out a request - he and his wife are from Baton Rouge, and he's offering to match donations. His company will match his matches. The charities listed there are ones that I would rather donate to; and my company will still send a lesser matching to one of the objectionable groups. Probably the one I like least, but oh well.
