Galen did his best to persuade me not to go into work today.
He wandered up my body around 3:15 this morning - I was already awake, although not excessively so - and groomed me for a while. Then he cuddled up on my arm, still purring heavily. The alarm beeeeped at me at 4; I rolled onto my side to shut it off, and Galen used the opportunity to curl up in the crook of my legs.

Everyone, all together: Awwwww.
Attempts to inform him that if I don't go into work, he doesn't get fed went nowhere.

Oh yes, there was morning drama.

For the first time ever, I drove off this morning with my commuter mug on the car roof.

Fortunately, I remembered it before I turned the corner.
