Oct. 30th, 2005 07:23 amGood party last night at
aimeric and
wufmew's place. Many of the usual suspects were there. Good to talk to people like
badassslinky, whose work schedule usually keeps us from seeing her.
The wife dressed up as a were-rabbit (it wasn't a full moon, so she munched on carrots we bought at the farmers' market). I used the mask I made a year or two ago - it's the same blank as my Pulcinella mask, but I dyed this one green and glued feathers to it. With that and a dagged green felt cape, voila! The Raptor! Mild-mannered avian veterinarian by day, masked crime-fighter by night!
Several people did the "No capes!" Edna Mode at me. That's okay, I'm not planning to get near any jet engines.
wufmew looked good as Madame Trelawney, but I think the best outfit was
callistotoni as the ninja seamstress. The measuring stick in the back sword sheath was perfect...
Oh, and
wufmew had to work giving a bird tour today, so she borrowed the mask to wear. It even fit her pretty well.
It was a low-key but fun party. I brought Munchkin Bites (appropriate for the time of year) and we ended up playing that until about 1 AM. No, I have no idea how I managed to stay awake that long. Yes, I am tired today, but jittery in that "I have only had three hours sleep" way.
