I was expecting a slow boat
Dec. 15th, 2005 10:03 amThe wife's Christmas present arrived today. She knows about it - actually, she ordered it. It's a copy of an Italian costuming book that's all the rage right now.
The incredible thing about this? She ordered it from the Italian publisher. December 11.
The book was shipped - from Italy - on the 12th and arrived at our front door this morning. It's taken longer to get mail from across town than that! And they didn't charge anything beyond the cover price (converted)!
I told her she can't look at it because I have to wrap it up. So that she can pretend it's a surprise.
But now it's here!
