Jan. 23rd, 2006 09:38 amI had the first full, free weekend at home basically since play rehearsals started last year. How did I spend this bounty of free time? Movies? Snuggling with the wife? Getting mauled by the cat?
Nope. I did Exchequer paperwork.
I have only myself to blame for this - I have put off some of it since November and it is due soon. I will probably miss deadlines on some of the (fortunately, relatively minor) items as I get to spend all next weekend at a work conference. The biggie was the full-year report, which took a fair chunk amount of time. But I got it done, everything balanced, and I proudly sent it off to my boss.
And received the following e-mail:
"Not bad for a first try. Here's what needs to be corrected..."
All I could do was giggle. I should know better than to assume I will get these things correct in one shot, and her response was not condescending in any way.
