Mas Yumminess
Apr. 9th, 2006 09:08 amThe wife and I splurged last night. We went to Masa's last night for our delayed anniversary dinner.
There was a bit of fu at first -- the reliable taxi company we like to use no longer takes advance cab reservations on Friday and Saturday nights. Hrmph. That meant that I had to call back, earlier than I wanted, assuming that the cab wouldn't show for another 15-20 minutes. Nope, it showed up 5 minutes after I hung up. Which meant that we got to the restaurant half an hour early.
The food and atmosphere? One of the most enjoyable 3 1/2 hours I've ever spent in a restaurant. 'Course, we won't be going out much any time again soon - we've pretty much blown our rich food and going-out budget for the next six months...
Ah well. That's why we work, right? Speaking of which, I need to go to the airport in about 15 minutes so I can catch a flight to the mothership in Kansas City. It looks like they're going to have better weather than we will. Which is really to be expected right now.
