Friday Night on the Town
Dec. 5th, 2006 09:03 amFor some values of "on the town", anyway; we were home before 9 PM. The wife and I went out to dinner at Town Hall, a restaurant that I had visited with a broker a couple years back. It's gourmet American - they do a mean lobster pot pie - and is quite the scene. Their cocktails are good (I had the Calvados sidecar, yummy) and the hipster quotient is pretty high.
One of the main reasons we went, however, was for the dessert. Their chocolate/butterscotch pot de creme (i.e. pudding) is utterly faboo. We rationed our dinner intake so as to leave room for it, which I did not do on the previous visit. Wow.
