The event went reasonably well, from my perspective. I didn't make it to the Friday night vigil as I had planned - the wife was sewing and I kept her company in the room, vegging mostly.

Saturday morning Exchequers' meeting went about as expected. Fortunately it was only an hour rather than two.
I went to more court than I usually do (I often show up for fealty and then leave) but I wanted to be there for [livejournal.com profile] aastg's Court Barony. She was nicely boggled. It was good to go up for [livejournal.com profile] ldyanna's becoming one of the Queen's Artisans. Since I'm never going to have a squire, kneeling behind her for that was pretty cool for me. (And I'm extremely pleased for her.)

The play went well. I forgot a couple of bits such as "We are all brothers here" and dropping the sword during the "marching off to war", but overall I was happy with it. Next time we busk (or warm up) we'll have to plan it better. Or at all, but none of us thought about it ahead of time.

There was another meeting after courts, to which I was not looking forward at all. But we got some things accomplished, and a couple donated bottles of Apple Piety cordial made the meeting go quite swimmingly. (Slightly literally, as aastg and I drank probably half a bottle between us.) Meanwhile, the wife had made reservations at the hotel steakhouse for us while schlepping things upstairs. It turned into dinner with aastg as well. That was quite nice as we chowed down onion soup and salads while chatting.

Random hanging around after, and dim sum with Matt & Crystal on Sunday on our way home. All in all, a decent event but tiring and hectic/frantic as usual.
