Mal clam

bonacorsi and I drove down to have lunch with ppfuf's charming husband yesterday. It was a gorgeous warm day and we had a lovely tapas lunch at a local Spanish restaurant. It's not up to Zarzuela standards, but I'd happily go back.

Unfortunately, something gave me a mild case of food poisoning (possibly the fried clams; I don't know, but it was a good excuse for a palindrome). I started out with a sinus headache in the late afternoon, which progressed to nausea and various orifices trying to expel the badness.* Cold sweats, temperature, the usual stuff. Obviously I didn't get anything done last night.

I'm okay today, but I don't plan to have any alcohol or eat anything too challenging, just in case.

^* Mainly a constant runny nose, although the back end also took its turn. I didn't throw up, but it was a close thing for a while.
