bonacorsi comes to bed, Galen wakes up and decides that he wants attention and entertaining. Simply running about doesn't work, so he does things that are guaranteed to get one of us out of bed: knocking things off shelves, batting the blinds against the windows, and so forth.
One of us gets out of bed, cursing, and runs after the cat - squirting him as much as we can with the spray bottle. Galen gets soaked before he runs someplace relatively safe. He then spends half an hour sulkily grooming to remove the vinegar smell, by which point he's forgotten what he was doing and falls asleep.
Sigh.
