7-2, Good Buddy
Jul. 31st, 2009 08:54 amFor the first time since I started my current job, I went to a ballgame with a broker last night. Unfortunately I had to reimburse him for the ticket as our ethics rules do not allow sponsored tickets, but it was still worth it.
Sanchez wasn't in no-hitter form, but the Phillies committed three errors. Sandoval hit a splash home run and nearly had a second outfield homer. It was the 50 year anniversary of Willie McCovey's rookie game (the Giants beat the Phillies 7-2 as well) and he got a well-deserved standing ovation in his box.
I didn't get to bed until nearly 11 PM, so I'm dragging this morning. As I get older the two beers don't hurt me, but missing two hours' sleep does in a big way. But again, totally worth it.
