Joyous Winter Consumer Holiday of Choice

It's a crisp, clear day. I made sourdough bagels and we ate them with salmon butter from the smoked fish people (and half a bottle of champagne).

The wife likes her new "Essays on Bookbinding" book and I am pleased with the new charcoal smoker. Other nice presents from family and friends.

I fell asleep during "A Christmas Story" with a snoozing cat on my lap. Right now I'm consoling the lonely upstairs kitty. In a few hours I'll start pot roast and make some brownies. I'm tempted to make some Smoking Bishop.

Yeah, life is pretty good today.
