Morning of Fail (Junior Varsity Edition)
Jan. 15th, 2010 07:16 amThis isn't a "Go back to bed and huddle under the covers in a ball of misery" fail. It's more of a "Continually hit your funny bone" kind of day.
I forgot to make my breakfast last night (soak oatmeal porridge). So I had toast, which takes a bit more time and isn't quite as satisfying, even if it's homemade rye. I then realized I'd forgotten to put out my suit last night for today so I had to throw that together in a hurry.
Oh, and the paper wasn't delivered before I left.
At least I didn't miss the bus given those delays. On the bus I choked on my coffee (which, of course, I'm not supposed to be drinking on Muni) - but I only spilled a little on my slacks. None on my white shirt.
Then when I got to work I realized that somehow I completely forgot to shave this morning. I'll stay huddled in the office as much as I can; I don't know that anyone will care or really notice, and my boss doesn't mind; but it feels unprofessional.
