Polish is not poolish.

This week's Resolution Recipe: Polish Cold Smoked Sausage. This is the predecessor of today's hot-smoked Polish sausage.

(no subject)

Just got back from the vet with a traumatized kitty. The good news is that he's gained another .3 lbs in the last month, so he's now up to 9 pounds, 9 ounces.

He should be weighing closer to 12 pounds, but any gain is good.

I don't care for figs. A good bitter marmalade, on the other hand...

Next week's Resolution Recipe that I made last night for the weekly homeowners' meeting, and I don't feel like waiting to post it until next week: Marmalade Pudding.
