Good get-together last night with a friend I haven't seen in a while. As usual, our chatting ranged all across the map, although she reminded me that we had promised to watch a game together in a sports bar when the Giants next made it to the Series. So... hopefully next week!

The excuse for getting together was Lois McMaster Bujold signing her latest. She also read a sequence from the not-very-far-along book starring Miles' cousin Ivan, which has promise. And I saw learnteach there as well.

Plus, the Rangers beat the Yankee$ - so a good day all in all.
