Turgid Dinner

The braised pork belly with kale I planned for dinner was postponed when I realized, at 6 PM, that it required a two to three-hour braise. Then the backup dinner of baked fish was postponed when I realized, 15 minutes in, that I'd forgotten to turn on the oven.
And my sourdough starter overflowed.
(The truly sad thing? Forgetting the time on this dish has happened before. At least twice. This time I wrote in the cookbook in red pen that it takes 3 hours.)
