Jul. 29th, 2011 10:08 amActually went out for dinner a couple times this week - Monday I met the bosses in Walnut Creek for a pitch meeting, and they took me out to McCovey's afterwards. I hadn't been there before. Yeah, it's a basic sports bar. If it weren't associated with Stretch there'd be no reason to go there compared to any other sports bar. The food was adequate.

bonacorsi and I went out for a date. Some time back the bosses sent me a gift certificate to a local Turkish/Mediterranean place called Pera. We had flaming cheese, just because. The wife got to eat lamb with eggplant and I had a chicken Cordon Bleu-style thingy (chicken stuffed with Provolone, red bell pepper, and spinach). The food was fine but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back on my own dime; there are plenty of more memorable restaurants around here.
