Smoke on the (Turdid) Drama

What seemed like a good idea - start the oven cleaning before I head off to the office, because it's been taking way too long to heat up - resulted in a panic wake-up for the wife and cat when it set off the smoke alarm. Possibly the upstairs neighbors as well.
