Apr. 7th, 2014 07:24 amPlaying Adventure on the iPhone was not difficult. The game was ported extremely faithfully (down to some of the bugs) and the muscle memory of navigating the mazes gajillions of times in my early years came back the first time.
Last night, I was trying to play Adventure 2 (on my laptop via an emulator) - a game that wasn't available for the Atari 2600 when I had mine. I wasn't successful in beating it. Yes, I had the benefits of teh intarwebz, but I couldn't find a walkthru with effective solutions. I did manage to solve the "dive across the swimming pool underwater" when I found the pool ladder halfway across, so I could surface and breathe. As much as an 8-bit block can breathe, of course. But the follow-on areas? Not so much.
I have very strange dreams sometimes.
