Aka Catherine Webb and Kate Griffin, apparently. For the usual current belief in publishing that if you're changing genres, use a pseudonym because otherwise readers get confused. Personally I like to give readers more credit, but it's quite possible I'm in the minority.
I'm really enjoying this book. I got it from the library on a recommendation (don't remember whose - could have been Amazon, could have been Borderlands Books). I'm actively forcing myself not to blow off work today and finish reading it as I've just started Act III. I don't think it will lend itself to a sequel - although I haven't finished it, so I could be wrong - but I'm quite impressed. I can see why it won the John W Campbell award for best SF novel.
