Oct. 24th, 2018 10:05 amI met the wife at City Hall yesterday. We pulled absentee ballots and voted there.
Civic duty done, we checked out a bar near home for a celebratory/commiserative cocktail. It used to be a very dive-y bar; it burned out from the greasy-spoon Cajun kitchen in the back and sat empty for a number of years. It's been completely renovated and is now open, airy, and light-paneled. Definitely not dive-y anymore.
The cocktail list was... eh. Vaguely interesting but nothing grabbed me. Our cocktails were fine but didn't stand out. They seem to have a decent selection of booze but it won't be a destination bar for us.
