Nov. 10th, 2018 11:20 amI turn 49 today. I am not particularly upset about this. Nor am I chuffed. It's just sort of a day this year.
But the neighbors took us to Smuggler's Cove for drinks Thursday, which was lovely; I took Friday off (and am taking Monday off as well) and am relaxing for the most part. I've been boiling quinces to make quince butter. There is bread rising. Tonight the wife and I are trying a local restaurant we haven't been to before.
Life is okay. And given flames, political hatred, and everything else that is going wrong with the world right now, I will take that.
