Galen is 15+ years old. He is a bit creaky, and less fastidious than he used to be - he sometimes tracks poop from his litter box now. He's still far underweight. But generally he seems to be content and not in pain, and we love the little jerk.

But the last three or four nights he has woken up around 2 AM and started yowling. Loudly. At first we thought he was having senior moments, and maybe calling to him would reassure him. Nope. Picking him up and dumping him on the bed doesn't really work either. Sometimes the wife can sit in her chair in the family room until he re-falls asleep in his bed, but that's not conducive to her sleep either.

We're going to try to boost the heat overnight a couple degrees to see if that helps. (His bed has a heating pad, but.)

I really need to sleep through the night more. Much more.
