We tried out the replacement Belgian waffle maker this morning. It didn't work quite as well as we hoped; the first batch was undercooked and then the second batch was short on batter, so it undercooked on one side and slightly overcooked on the other. Not a failure by any means, just a "needs calibration".

Other fud projects for this weekend: reducing balsamic vinegar (in process); making posole for tonight's dinner (the wife is currently en route to the tortilla store for fresh tortillas); yogurt; cooking a bunch of chicken breasts sous vide for the freezer; and maybe braising a beef shank and onions.
