Be Careful of What you Wish For
Apr. 11th, 2021 09:40 amOur main disappointment with Hildegard has been that she's not a snuggler or lap cat. She likes being near us - one of her favorite places is her picnic basket next to my chair when we are watching TV.
We've been trying to coax her into more snuggling. With very limited success; she has sometimes been willing to take over the back of the wife's TV chair with the wife awkwardly perched in front.
Right now Hilde is bathing on my lap in the study, where I am sitting in my desk chair at the computer. I am awkwardly typing this one-handedly as she is using the other for a butt rest. I have things to clean, things to cook - but those will wait. Hilde jumped up of her own accord and demanded skritches, and I must obey.
