(no subject)

Hilde hasn't been eating much the past couple days. She's also been a bit lethargic, which is totally out of character.

We couldn't get into the vet last night (the emergency said they might be able to see her at 11 PM - no, thanks, we did that a couple times with Galen for genuine emergencies). Fortunately they had a cancellation today and the wife is taking Hilde in. She had a 1 year checkup in August already scheduled so this will just be an early version.

We'd be worried anyway, but any hint of problems is a concern because of her FeLV+ status. Unfortunately with me being on jury reporting this week, I have to work today while I can rather than being there for the kitty (and wife). However, in the event that my presence is needed, I will sod off from the office. Priorities.

Hilde Update

They couldn't find anything, which I guess is better than the alternative. She's down 1 lb to 10.5 lbs, but that's because we've metered her food as they wanted. I think 10ish lbs is a good weight for her.

Hilde apparently threw up this morning, so she got subcut fluids and an anti-nausea shot. As the wife says, a cat who insists on sticking a paw in the water before drinking is more likely to get something dodgy in her digestion. Anyway, she's home now.
