Hilde Update, cont.

After buying a ten-pack of the salmon-and-pumpkin pouches that Hilde was eating, she decided to snub them. Of course she did. We caved to necessity and ordered the hangry meds (an ointment put in the cat's ear, which gives them appetite but also makes them "twitchy", per the vet) - we tried it on Galen but he just became more of a bitey asshole. Since Hilde is generally a calmer cat we hope she will respond better. We have a variety of wet foods for her to snub. She probably would still eat the crunchies that were her normal food, but she hasn't been able to keep them down.

Hilde did eat some food last night; not enough, but some is better than none. And the wife caught her with a wet paw this morning so we know she's drinking again. (She puts her paw in the water dish while she drinks. We don't know why, except that apparently we are incapable of having a cat that drinks normally.)
