Two weeks ago, we were planning to get together with another couple for drinks and chattage. Unfortunately, I wasn't in a good head space for socializing so I cancelled. We rescheduled to last night. Unfortunately, W just had a corporate re-org sprung on her yesterday... and so she wasn't in a good head space this time 'round and cancelled.

The wife and I went to the local place anyway. We had a drink and some various (high end) bar snacks. The grilled duck heart skewers were particularly good - not tough at all, which heart can be if not done properly. We missed getting the smoked duck, but didn't want to order the half duck for the two of us. There will be other opportunities since we want to introduce this place to a number of our friends.
