How Galen Spent His Birthday

"Not a bad birthday.  I spent the day in my personal spa, getting a full-body grooming and massage.  This picture was taken during my sauna treatment (the windowsill) and I took occasional breaks for gourmet snacks.  Later tonight I will get a pedicure, manicure, and my favorite dessert - chicken-flavored toothpaste!"

"The staff have been decently attentive.  I rate the facility two paws up."

Since our previous cat lost half her teeth by the end of her life, we decided to start brushing this one's teeth more regularly. The standard cat toothpaste is malt-flavored; but the identically-formulated dog toothpaste is chicken-flavored, so we bought that. It turns out that Galen loves, loves, loves the stuff.

Brushing his teeth is a reward any time we clip his piddies.

The downside, if it is one, is that Galen turns up his nose at regular chicken or turkey - he knows that the real stuff comes in a tube.

Maybe it's like preferring Mapleine to real maple syrup...
