madbaker: (life is good)

Last night's SF in SF went pretty well. There was a decent turnout, including a number of new folks. Peter Beagle has a very nice reading voice. I was starting to fade during the second reading (Katherine Kerr) - not because it was boring, but because it was getting late.

Also, a decent dinner with [livejournal.com profile] klwilliams and [livejournal.com profile] maestrateresa at Ali Baba's Cave. klwilliams took the last lamb dish that we all three wanted, but my vegetarian version was okay and teresa's lamb shwarma was quite good. Not enough garlic in the hummus, but that's standard. And lots of takeout traffic, usually a good sign.
(It's too bad baba ganoush is so nasty. It's fun to say!)

And today was a glorious day to go for a walk at lunch. Days like this make the various costs of living here worthwhile.
