Vacation Fud
Aug. 18th, 2006 11:11 amWhile we were in Calistoga, we had pretty good sushi at a husband-and-wife joint across the street from the spa. Also, we went to Tra Vigne in St. Helena.
I was - not disappointed, but not enchanted either. The food was good. Not lights-out, but good rustic Italian. The atmosphere was a bit more casual than I was expecting, but the staff were friendly and professional. The wife's venison was very nice; my pork tenderloin wrapped in grape leaves was acceptable.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to return, but that's more because of the wide variety of very good restaurants in the area. I'd try them before going back.
