The one thing that bothered me about that comic is that the woman behind the counter should have known immediately whether or not he was a student. Smith is a woman's college, and even though they may be likely to have a handful of male students spending their junior year there, all of the female students would know who they were. At least that's how it worked at Mount Holyoke.
